Parents moved to Lincoln, Nebraska
Graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1996. In the mid-90s. Eric had an improv show on cable access in Lincoln called, "Our Show" with some friends from High School.
Attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska and received a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications: Broadcasting. In college, his senior project, "Slate" (3 one act films) won a Nebraska Collegiate Media Associations' Golden Leaf Award in 2000.
Was involved in radio, theater, TV, and Tau Kappa Epsilon
Started dating his wife Angela Schaeffer in 1998, got married two years later
After graduating college in 2000, lived in Wayne, Nebraska and Vermillion, South Dakota
Now lives in Omaha, Nebraska
